Information for buyers of Canadian grain

Buyers refers to Canadian and international buyers of grain who purchase Canadian grain for food, feed and industrial uses. It refers to processors who use Canadian grain in food processing operations such as flour mills, bakeries, pasta plants, malting plants, breweries, and oilseed crushing mills; in feed mills; and for industrial uses such as biofuels. It also refers to foreign government departments involved in grain imports and handling.

The Canadian Grain Commission assesses grain quality and monitors the weighing of grain that is shipped to Canadian and international markets. It does this as an unbiased, third-party agency in Canada’s grain sector.
