  • Machine vision and hyperspectral/multispectral imaging
  • Developing imaging systems for measuring morphological and spectral characteristics of pulses, cereal grains, and grain products, as well as quantification of wheat grading factors
  • Work directly lead to development and commercialization of the TrueGrade lentil grading system, the NoodleScan system, and mildew detection system
  • Leader of a research program focused on developing instrumental/objective methods for quality assurance of grains and grain products
