Previous harvest quality data and reports have been temporarily removed from this site for review and will return in a new format in 2010. For historical data contact: Canadian Grain Commission Library, Telephone: 1-800-853-6705, Email: contact@grainscanada.gc.ca

Export quality, Western Canadian wheat

Inspection and quality data on exports of Canadian grain are generally released a year after a given crop year and are used for historical comparisons. Data are from the third and fourth quarters, that is, February 1 to July 31, of a given crop year. Data are most representative of that crop year and usually do not include carry over stocks from the previous crop year.

Wheat methods and tests used to measure quality

Quality data is compiled from the results of analytical tests performed in the Grain Research Laboratory. These tests are conducted according to standardized procedures and methods. Each time a test is performed on a composite sample, the method for that test is closely followed. That way, results are reliable and accurate and quality data can be compared from year to year.
