Patty Rosher, Assistant Chief Commissioner of the Canadian Grain Commission

Patty Rosher was appointed Assistant Chief Commissioner on February 15, 2021.

Agricultural and leadership experience

Ms. Rosher joined the Canadian Grain Commission from Keystone Agricultural Producers, where she had been General Manager since March 2019. Ms. Rosher also spent seven years with the Manitoba government in the department of agriculture. From 2012 to 2019, she held leadership positions including Director of Boards, Commissions and Legislation; Director of Transformation; Director of Policy; and Acting Chief Operating Officer of the Food Development Centre.

Patty started her career in the grain industry in 1994 when she joined the Canadian Wheat Board. There, she held positions in communications, policy, transportation, market development, and sales.

Ms. Rosher also has extensive board experience and is currently Vice Chair of Genome Prairie and Treasurer of Alpha House, a second-stage shelter for women and their children leaving abusive relationships.

Ms. Rosher grew up on a farm in west-central Saskatchewan near Eatonia. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Saskatchewan, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Manitoba.
